It's been so much fun to contemplate finishes for a spec home we are building in Argyle, Texas and ask for your input too. After 9 weeks of you diligently following along and letting me know your opinions, I thought you'd appreciate a recap.
Week 1: Lighting: Oil Rubbed Bronze or Warm Brass?
Winner: Oil Rubbed Bronze
Week 2: Windows: Black or White?
Winner: Black
Week 3: Master Bedroom - Carpet or Hardwood?
Winner: Hardwood
Week 4: Plumbing - My blog referenced 4 finishes but my poll included 2
Winner: Chrome
Week 5: Kitchen Cabinets - Although there were 4 options in the blog, my poll included 2
Winner: Painted (other than white; except you liked the colored island!)
Week 6: Oven/Range - 1 unit or multiple?
Winner: 1 unit (by a 71%/29% margin!)
Week 7: Oven Hoods - lots of options, these were the top 2 vote getters
Winner: Contemporary chrome (you love this kitchen!), with colored wood a close second
Week 8: Islands - Granite (or other stone surface), wood or concrete
Winner: Granite, then wood
Week 9: Kitchen Ceilings - 4 options
Winner: White trayed ceiling, with a dark beam and shiplap ceiling second
